(CNN) — Actor Brian Cox, who stars in “Succession,” says he hasn’t seen the series finale yet.
“I haven’t seen the series finale,” Cox, who played media mogul Logan Roy, said Sunday during an appearance on the BBC’s “Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg.”
When Cox was asked why he hadn’t tuned in, the answer was simple. “I’m dead,” she said, laughing, adding that “the dead don’t see things like that.”

As patriarch of the Roy family and head of the multi-billion dollar media company Waystar Royco, Logan died unexpectedly in a shocking twist early in the fourth and final season.
The remainder of the season followed Logan’s three adult children, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin), in a family and business battle for his media empire.
Cox admitted that he has been “unwilling” to watch the rest of the season following Logan’s death in the third episode.
“I don’t cling to things,” he said. “When it’s over, it’s over and I move on.”
Cox spoke to the BBC in May and similarly admitted that he hasn’t even seen Logan’s final scene yet because, he said, “I’m not interested in seeing my own death, that’s coming soon.”
Despite not having seen the end, Cox stressed this Sunday that he does not need to see the end to know how it ends because “I knew that Logan had already prepared it and that is why I deduce that, in the end, Logan has won even though he is in the grave.” .
The “Succession” finale aired on May 28 after first premiering on HBO in 2018. The series has won 13 Emmys, and Cox earned two lead actor nominations in 2020 and 2022. (HBO, as well as CNN, is a unit of Warner Bros. Discovery).
